Additional Costs
Your Ministry Support ($3000-$4500, depending on flights) covers your lodging, food, flights and ministry assignment activities. MB Mission asks that you cover the following additional expenses: Transportation to and from orientation/debrief, Passport, Vaccinations and Travel Health Insurance.
Transportation
To & from Winnipeg: You are required to arrange your own transportation to and from Winnipeg. Please confirm your travel plans with the Central Canada Office before booking them. If you are travelling by plane, we recommend that you arrive at the Winnipeg International Airport during the day on June 29. We will provide transportation from the airport to MCI in Gretna, Manitoba. You are welcome to leave any time on August 11, and MB Mission can provide shuttle services to the airport.
To & from your Ministry Assignment: The cost of your flights to and from your ministry assignment will be included in your overall ministry support. MB Mission will book these flights for you in mid-May so that you will be on the same flights as your team members. Once we have your flights booked, we will inform you of the costs and the final amount that you are asked to raise. MB Mission will cover your transportation costs while on Assignment.
Passport
You are required to obtain a passport that is valid six months after the program ends. For more information about passports, click the appropriate link: Canada | USA
Travel VISA
Some countries will require you to obtain a Travel VISA to enter their country. Once we have confirmed your Ministry Assignment location, we will let you know if you need a VISA. MB Mission will organize the VISAS for your team; the cost is covered in your Ministry Support.
Vaccinations
Depending on your Ministry Assignment location, you may need vaccinations or immunizations. Once your Ministry Assignment location is confirmed, your local Travel Health Clinic will be able to give you recommendations. Health Insurance
You are responsible for your medical costs during ACTION:Winnipeg and will need Travel Health Insurance. If you have a personal health plan, you may already have Travel Health Insurance. If not, you can obtain it through CAA or AAA.
*Important Note
MB Mission is only responsible for participants during the actual program. If a participant arrives earlier or plans to stay later than the specified program dates, they will have to make their own arrangements for food, lodging, and travel.
