South Africa
The Republic of South Africa is a beautiful, diverse country both geographically and culturally. After years of apartheid, there is great need for continued reconciliation, for solid Bible teaching and for the training of Christian leaders. Numerous independent churches are pastored by those with little education and can be heavily influenced by traditional, animistic culture. Our primary area of mission in South Africa is in the development of a ministry among youth and refugees in Durban.
Please pray:
- For Baudouin & Marie-Brigette Nsulunka as they pastor the Durban MB Church and are working to plant more MB churches
- That the daycare run by the Durban MB church will have a significant impact on the kids and families in the surrounding community
- For the huge proportion of the population affected by AIDS, and for the Christian ministries working to help
- That creative ways will be found to equip leaders with solid theological education in spite of economic and geographic limitations
