Project #: C0456
Biography: Sandra is part of the Matthew Team that is serving in Guadalajara. They provide specialized cross-cultural training and spiritual guidance to see each missionary candidate become an effective long-term missionary. They desire to see hundreds of trained and fruitful missionaries serving among the nations, making thousands of disciples for God's Kingdom. The Matthew Team is also responsible for coordinating and planning short term mission trips from North America to Latin America, and are involved in church planting and evangelism in Guadalajara.
Background: I come from Steinbach, Manitoba and I graduated with a BA in Youth Work from Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, BC. During my time at CBC, I went on several short-term missions trips, each one growing a deeper desire to commit my life to missions. After graduation I participated in the TREK program in Colombia, South America where I was discipled by Trever and Joan Godard. I worked at CBC for the next 5 years as a Residence Director. In this role I had the opportunity to disciple and mentor many girls towards a deeper relationship with God. I also worked with the student missions committee, leading students into cross-cultural ministry opportunities and developing global perspectives. In March 2006 I joined the Matthew Team in Guadalajara, Mexico. I am excited to continue in discipleship, training, and developing future missionaries.
Prayer Requests:
- Revelation to know God better and make Him known
- Wisdom in discipling relationships with Mexican youth and short term teams
- To effectively train and prepare others to go to the nations
