Praying Boldly
Prayer is powerful. God works through the prayers that we pray to bring change and transformation in lives and communities.
While a TREK team served alongside the Operation 2nd Wave Team in South Thailand, God taught them about the importance and power of prayer. They learned that they could boldly ask God for big things that He had laid on their hearts and He would answer their prayers.
Khae* had been working for missionaries Greg & Becky Ouellette for three years. They had been praying for her during that whole time and had shared the gospel with her. The TREK team began to pray that Khae would come to the new church plant that had recently started meeting on Saturday nights.
The team prayed for Khae each day; that God would soften her heart and that she would come to church. And every Saturday they were a bit disappointed when she didn’t show up at church.
But by the end of the TREK team’s time in Thailand, Khae had started coming to church! God answered their prayers and He went beyond what the team had ever thought to ask. Khae began to bring her friends to church along with her and even brought her son.
Khae has not yet made a commitment to follow Jesus but she is on a journey toward knowing Him. God is pursuing her and drawing her to Himself. Pray that God will reveal Himself to her clearly and that she will choose to surrender to Him. Pray also for the salvation of Khae’s friends and family.
Praise God for answering the prayers of the Operation 2nd Wave team and the TREK team! Pray that their faith and boldness in prayer will continue to increase as they see God intervening and working in miraculous ways.
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21
