Youth Camp

The TREK team in Ukraine was looking forward to the three-day youth camp that they had been planning and preparing to run. They asked God to bring kids to the camp and to change kids’ hearts during those few days. They also prayed that the camp would be fun for the kids!

God answered their prayers for the youth camp. Twelve kids came on the first two days, and there were twenty kids on the final day! God also provided seven local friends to help the team with interpreting and running the camp.

The kids had fun playing games where they could all get involved and be active! They also joined in on moving and singing some worship songs as well as other entertaining songs.

During the camp, the kids were taught about how people were created by God to be in relationship with Him, but sin has broken that relationship with God. They learned about how Jesus came to take our sins away and fix our relationship with God if we accept His gift. The kids listened to the lessons and also participated in small group discussions. They were willing to share their thoughts and feelings and asked a lot of good questions during this discussion time.

TREK participant Sarah Baffa wrote, “I truly believe that we pointed the kids to Christ and that each is at least a little bit closer to Him than when they first came to our camp.”

Praise God for His faithfulness in bringing many kids to the youth camp. These kids had the opportunity to hear the gospel and to be shown God’s love. Pray that God will reveal Himself in a personal way to each of these children, and that they will be interested in knowing Jesus.

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to Your name be the glory, because of Your love and faithfulness.” – Psalm 115:1
