Writer/Editor - Abbotsford

MB Mission is seeking a writer/copy editor for a part-time contract starting August 20, 2012 in the Abbotsford regional office. The ideal candidate is a creative and organized thinker who can thrive on a team, meet critical deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Essential skills include a flare for telling compelling stories of life transformation through Christ alongside a strong grasp of English grammar and biblical content.

Primary responsibilities include:

Co-writing a 16-page inspirational quarterly magazine
Communicating regularly with donors
Conducting personal interviews with missionaries
Collaborating with photographers and designers
Updating website content
Brainstorming and writing special projects

MB Mission is the global mission agency of Mennonite Brethren churches in the US and Canada. We focus on the holistic planting of churches in least-reached areas around the world. We send short-term and long-term teams to work with local pastors and churches, and we partner with community development projects serving children, teens and families.
