Anne Friesen

Position: Office Assistant

Location: Central Canada - Winnipeg, MB

Biography: My job includes tracking finances and budgets, processing program registrations and general office management.

My role at MB Mission began in April 2009 filling in for someone on medical leave. My hope was to assist where most needed. My experience with MB Mission to this point had been through the SOAR Heartland (SHL) program where I served as food services manager (a.k.a. head cook). I loved what I saw during SHL and wanted to be more involved in MB Mission. I have a strong desire to see programs succeed in changing the lives of people. I have seen this through SHL. My husband, Roger, has been a great support to me in this adventure. My role has evolved over the past two years as I have become more familiar with the details of MB Mission's work in our community and the world. I appreciate the large vision of this organization for reaching the world for Jesus.

Our home church is McIvor Ave. MB church. I have enjoyed volunteering in a variety of roles in this congregation over the past 30+ years.

We have two children: Bernie Friesen, married to Jodi, with one grandson, Niko (and a second grandchild expected mid-August). Monica Friesen is our daughter. I love spending time with our children, especially at our family cottage where life is relaxed. We also enjoy travel and look forward to more opportunities for seeing the world as we near retirement.
