As Senior Account, monthly financial statements and managing exception transactions keep me routinely engaged. And the budget and audit responsibilities have become my busy "harvest time" seasons.

Dear Friends,
Hi from the Regier's! Sorry it has been so long since our last letter!
We have been having beautiful weather here in British Columbia this past week! The sun is shining and we are finally having some summer like weather. And the long rainy, cloudy spring has made an impact on our surroundings. Everything is green, including our lawn, and the flowers are gorgeous! For those of you enduring the long heat spell in the rest of the country, my apologies! We experienced that kind of heat when we were in India and know how oppressive it can be.
Jordan had the opportunity to participate in Soar Montreal with a youth team from our church (Ross Road Community Church). Soar is a youth mission program, a part of MB Mission, for high school students. He was in Montreal for 2 weeks helping/serving churches in their outreach to the local people.
Many people in Montreal have experienced hurt from the Catholic Church in the past, and so healing and opening new dialogue with Christians is desperately needed. Jordan and his team had a wonderful experience building relationships and interacting with people as they served through painting, repairing, helping with a carnival, etc. They were able to help one homeless man get a place at a shelter for the next month so that he will have an opportunity to care for himself and look for employment.
Since his return, we have hired Jordan to do some painting in our house. It's amazing how a little paint can brighten things up! This week he is also helping with "Soccor Camp" at our church (a variation of VBS). In a few weeks he will be helping with the Middle School (Adventure Camp), so will not be running out of things to do!
School for Jordan starts right after Labor Day and he will be in his last year at MEI. Please pray for guidance as he makes decisions about college, applies for scholarships, etc. And for us as we contemplate an "empty nest"! J
I (Teresa) attended a Nurse Practitioner Conference at Copper Mountain in Colorado last month. It was a good time of reconnecting with a good friend and learning/updating for my work. I continue to enjoy my job at the Birch Bay Family Practice clinic. It is my prayer that I am able to share God's love, compassion, and healing touch with those I come in contact with. An added bonus concerning the conference is that I was also able to spend a few days with Carlin, Blake, and Reece before heading back home. What a blessing! It's a pleasure developing a relationship with my grandson! When Carlin relayed what Reece said a few days after I left, I was thrilled. In answer to her question in the morning "What should we do today, Reece?" he replied, "Let's go pick up Grandma!" That's enough to make you want to turn around and get back on the plane!
Jonathan keeps us up to date with his summer activities. He has been busy playing his music at various venues, filming for a movie project, and playing for the Patsy Kline show on the beach. We miss him and wish we could have connected in person this summer.
Dale is busy at MB Mission (the name switch is hard for me (Teresa), MBMSI just sort of rolled off my tongue!) The annual audit is now completed the process went smoothly and with no surprises. Thanks for your prayers. August is the month for catch-up and accounting software upgrades. We are also enabling systems to process payments and donations electronically (EFTs) for US MB Mission staff & friends.
Please continue to pray for the work of MBDO in the Indian villages. This project is vital to the health of many of the poor villages in southern India who have very little health care available. We desperately need partners to help carry the financial load for this project, as a lot of the current funding will be running out in the next 6 months.
On these sunny days when we can clearly see Mt Baker from our house, and as I drive to and from work, I am again reminded of the Psalmist's words: "I lift up my eyes to the hills
Blessings,
Dale, Teresa, and Jordan
