Biography: I have worked for MB Mission a number of times over the years! But the way I connected with them this time was the most interesting. Seven years ago I worked at a marketing agency in Ontario and Larry Neufeld (current Communications Director at MB Mission) was my co-worker. I was a writer, and after 2 years there I decided to move to BC to get a Master of Cross-Cultural Ministry at ACTS Seminary. I was sad to leave because I was good friends with Larry's wife, we attended the same church, and my whole family was there. I finished my degree at ACTS, married Kent, worked as the Director of Global Projects and Missions at Trinity Western University, and gave birth to our daughter Brooke Anya in 2009. During my maternity leave, I prayed to God, asking Him to provide me with a part-time job so I could still be with Brooke most of the time. Two weeks before my maternity leave ended, I received an email from Larry, who had moved out here with his family, become the Director of Communications and was looking to hire a writer 2 days/week! 'The rest is history' as they say. I am so grateful to God for re-connecting our family with the Neufeld's and for providing me with this position at MB Mission. It feels like a perfect fit! I get to tell stories of what God is doing through our teams around the world. Oh, and there is a great camaraderie among the staff - despite the friendly competition that occurs during lunchtime board games!
