How much does Spring Adventure cost?

Nothing! MB Mission pays for your flights, food (lunch and supper), and lodging.

Is there childcare during Spring Adventure?

Although we love kids, we do not provide any childcare. We ask that you make other arrangements for your children during this week.

What are the accommodations like? Do we need to bring bedding?

Spring Adventure is held at Columbia Bible College (CBC). You will stay in host homes.

Can I join Missionary Training & Equipping (MTE) without attending Spring Adventure?

No, Spring Adventure is a pre-requisite to MTE.

Do I have to raise my own support?

Yes, each missionary candidate raises support to cover their costs during MTE and once they are overseas.

What kind of pre-requisites are there for MTE?

You will need an undergraduate degree and 2 years of Bible. Please contact your Regional Mobilizer for more details and to discuss your situation.

Is there any credit available for MTE?

Yes, we have an agreement with ACTS seminaries/Trinity Western University to offer 3 credit hours for the church planting portion of MTE (cost of credits is personal).

How does MTE work for a family with young children?

MTE is held at Northview Community Church so there are rooms available for pre-school children during the MTE sessions. A childcare worker will be supplied (the cost is expensed to your ministry budget).

Who teaches MTE?

The majority of the sessions are taught by MB Mission staff.

How academic is MTE?

MTE is not overly academic unless you are taking the sessions on church planting for credit. Most of the work is reading and book reflections.

Is there MTE housing available?

If needed, we will assist you in finding rental housing.

Do I need to have a call to a specific country or people group before entering MTE?

Although this is helpful, we ask you to enter MTE with "open hands". Team placement and destination countries are decided in the third month of MTE.
