Beltran, Alfredo and Sandra

Country: Mexico

Alfredo and Sandra are International Mission Associates in joint appointment with the Colombia MB Church Conference. Their ministry focuses on planting and growing healthy churches throughout Mexico.  Alfredo and Sandra are leading a team that has planted a church in the Campo Real community in Guadalajara. They are training and raising up national leaders and plan to plant more churches in Mexico.

Bergen, Phil and Carol

Country: Burkina Faso

The Bergens’ ministry focus is to “apply Nanerigé scripture to good soil.” The Nanerigé are a largely unreached people group in western Burkina Faso. To this end, the Bergens are working with SIL and local Christians to give Nanerigé scripture and effective Bible teaching to new believers and also help others find faith in Jesus.

Block, Barbara

Country: India

Barbara works at Kodaikanal International School, a Christian Multicultural Residential school, in S. India. She teaches art, and works as High School Coordinator,for grades 9-12. Students come from 25-30 nationalities, the majority from within Asia. Many are from non-Christian homes.

She also works with Bethania Home for Children, which takes in children in need. Around 45 children are supported by the home, a Christian NGO, with 35 in residence. These children have lost one or both parents, and come from homes where they could not be cared for. Bethania offers a safe home in a rural, farm setting, and a chance to grow up with a knowledge of Jesus’ love for them.

Davis, Bob and Chris

Country: Thailand

Bob & Chris work with the Khmu people in Northern Thailand and SE Asia. They serve on the MB Mekong Team and are involved with discipleship and leadership training at the Changed Life Center. They also help to support the work of Khmu churches and new church plants, as well as community development projects to help the ministries become self sufficient.

Ekk, Otto and Marjorie

Country: Portugal

Otto and Marjorie provide leadership to a group of churches in the Greater Lisbon area. They have a passion for least-reached people in Lisbon, Portugal and beyond. Portugal, like the rest of Europe is a post-Christian world and only very few actually know about the Good News of Jesus. It is their vision that Lisbon will become a center from which many people around the world will be blessed.

Ens, Lowell and Melissa

Country: Peru

Lowell works with leadership in Peruvian churches and the MB Conference and Melissa provides support in the areas of worship, women’s ministry, and discipleship.

Eros, Wendy

Country: Japan

Wendy is working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher to draw people into the church. She is serving in East Toyota Church and is sharing Jesus with students who believe in Buddhism and Shintoism.

Ervin, John and Geri

Country: Worldwide

John serves as Media Producer helping missionaries and North American staff communicate how God is transforming people worldwide. Telling God's stories using video, music and photography is what he has been called to in the world and in the Church. Most of the Shine On Video Stories were filmed by John during his visits to our church planting sites around the globe.

Esau, Jon and Bonnie

Country: Thailand

Jon and Bonnie are in the beginning stages of starting a new church plant in the Chonburi area. Their time is spent studying the Thai language, running outreach programs, kids camps, as well as, assisting other ministries in the Chonburi province. Their hope and prayer is that more people will come to Christ and thus, provide new discipleship opportunities as they plant this new church.

Fender, Sandy

Country: Thailand

Sandra assists in both the Thai and Burmese ministries of the Bethel and Lighthouse Churches. She serves at the House of Hope ministry center in the city of Chachoengsao by providing hospitality to visitors and teams. She also teach English and baking classes, hosts a youth group and assists with a weekly outreach to kids in an impoverished canal community.

Foster, Alan and Colleen

Country: Panama

Alan and Colleen work with Emberá and Wounaan communities in eastern Panama. These tribes have had limited access to the Gospel due to their remoteness as well as violence related to political factions and drug-trafficking. They also lack basic water and sanitation infrastructure and waterborne disease has escalated. Alan and Colleen provide technical and educational assistance to meet the needs of eight communities in clean water, sanitation, and health workshops. As they engage in meeting physical needs, Alan and Colleen have found many opportunities to minister to people’s spiritual needs.

Friesen, Cynthia

Country: Thailand

Cynthia is part of the Operation 2nd Wave (O2W) team that has started a church plant in Phuket City. She is church planting among Thai Buddhists, inviting the Holy Spirit to make all things new through an encounter with God’s love and transformational power.

Phuket is a melting pot, allowing opportunities to share the gospel with Thai Muslims, ethnic groups, Burmese, expats, etc. Cynthia works among families struggling with poverty, abuse and addictions of all kinds, in bondage to false gods. Pray as her team encourages and helps develop community programs and housing options to meet some of these needs. The heart of it all is to see healthy cell groups and leadership teams with ministry skills and character growing and multiplying out of their Fellowship Church plant.

 

Funk, Otto and Lidia

Country: Peru

Otto and Lidia work with Spanish speaking, middle to lower class people that have good education. Most of the people have a Catholic background mixed with taboos and native beliefs. People are tired of religion and Church, but are open to Jesus and personal testimony.

Funk, Richard and Hazel

Country: Austria

Richard and Hazel are serving as Member Care facilitators to missionaries in Europe and Central Asia. They provide care to missionaries and strengthen team life by promoting spiritual, relational, and emotional vitality. They are also involved in mentoring lay leaders, and teaching and preaching in Austrian and German churches.

Godard, Trever and Joan

Country: Mexico

Trever and Joan work with Mexican church leaders and young adults, focusing on discipleship and mission training. They give leadership to the Matthew Team, whose vision is to prepare people for cross-cultural mission. The Matthew Team also coordinates short term teams that participate with local churches in mission outreach.

Goertz, Doris

Country: Japan

Doris is serving in the Amagasaki MB Church where she uses her gifts in the areas of music, Bible studies, English classes, evangelism and discipleship. Through her interactions with people inside and outside the church, she wants to bring them into a new and deeper relationship with Christ.

Doris has spent over 10 years in Japan and has been amazed and humbled to realize that God can and wants to use her to share his love with Japanese people. Only about four out of a thousand people in Japan are members of a Protestant church. In this context, English classes are a great way to connect with people in the community who would not otherwise enter a church. Through the ministry of teaching English, Doris and her Japanese helpers have the opportunity to introduce people to Jesus, to pray for them and support them when they are going through difficulties, and to study the Bible with those who are interested.

Hiebert, Doug & Deanna

Country: Burundi and Eastern Congo

Doug and Deanna are serving on a team in Burundi and eastern DR Congo, resourcing already existing churches and Christian ministries. In eastern DR Congo, the team is working with existing churches to build up leaders, disciple young adults and facilitate community development. In Burundi, the team is coming alongside local partners to minister to the Pygmy people. This includes sharing the Gospel, discipleship, health care, education, food security and housing.

Hiebert, Rebecca

Country: Thailand

Rebecca is studying the Thai language, teaching English, discipling youth and young leaders, and loving the people that God puts on her path. She is working on a team to plant churches that will plant other churches in Thailand to advance the Kingdom of God.

Kuhns, Stacy

Country: Peru

Stacy provides leadership support to a new church plant in Nuevo Catacaos and is also involved in the discipleship of young people in established MB churches in northern Peru. Her passion is to train and equip leaders to show Christ’s love in tangible ways and to support local church leaders as they reach their communities with the Gospel.

Matthies, Johann

Country: Germany

Johann is the European Mission Development Director. He mobilizes European partners, churches, and schools for world mission and resources our workers and projects on the field in Europe as well as Western and Central Asia.

Miller, K & K

Country: Germany

K & K are part of a church-planting team in Berlin. Their team is in the beginning stages of formation and envisioning a multicultural, disciple-making, church planting movement in the least-reached area of Neukölln. Their hope is to mobilize a new generation of disciples in Germany, in partnership with existing MB churches.

Nsulunka, Baudouin and Marie-Brigette

Country: South Africa

Baudouin and Marie-Brigette are missionaries from the MB conference in South Africa and are the pastor couple for the Durban MB Church. They are involved in teaching, training, and reaching out in the community. Their hope is to soon plant another MB church in South Africa.

Ouellette, Greg and Becky

Country: Thailand

Greg is based in Canada helping shepherd and train up long-term church-planters through the Jornada program. He is also helping coordinate an integration of ESL and church-planting as well as providing resourcing for the SE Asia regional team.

Owen, Andy and Carmen

Country: Thailand

Andy and Carmen serve as resource missionaries among the Thai and other SE Asian people groups. They are involved in training leaders and developing materials to equip believers in discipleship and evangelism. They also resource emerging and existing churches like the one they helped plant, The Life Center in Chonburi. The people in this region are overwhelmingly Buddhist and Animist, but when they come to know Jesus they are full of faith and fire!

Penner, Liana

Country: Peru

Liana serves in the areas of Christian education, teaching ESL, and discipleship. She works and serves alongside believers in the MB Church in Trujillo.

Plett, Sandra

Country: Mexico

Sandra is part of the Matthew Team that is serving in Guadalajara. Their vision is to prepare people for cross-cultural missions. The Matthew Team also coordinates short term teams and interns that participate with local churches in mission outreach. Sandra also serves local church leaders by focusing on discipleship and training among the youth.

Ramer, Jill

Country: Thailand

Jill is engaged in learning the language and culture during her first term in Thailand. She will be joining a church-planting team who will focus on sharing the Gospel with those who have never heard.

Ramos, Cecil and Tracy

Country: Thailand

Cecil and Tracy desire to see the power of the Holy Spirit transform the hearts and the lives of the Thai

people who commit to following Jesus. In their first term, they are concentrating on learning the language and culture, helping their boys become acclimated to the new environment, encouraging their teammates, and beginning to build relationships with the people of Thailand.

Russell, Edd and Ingrid

Country: Thailand

Edd and Ingrid work with the Khmu people in Northern Thailand and SE Asia. They serve on the MB Mekong Team and are involved with discipleship and leadership training at the Changed Life Center.

Sanchez, Ricky and Karen

Country: Thailand

Ricky is the Regional Mobilizer for Southeast Asia and Karen is the Founder and Director of the Abundant Life Home. The Abundant Life Home provides children who have been orphaned due to AIDS and are living with HIV with a loving home. Ricky and Karen are also involved in leadership development, missionary recruitment and church planting. Their vision is to see Asia reached with the Gospel. Thailand is their home base and Burma, Laos and Cambodia are areas of ministry and future locations.

Schmidt, Heidi

Country: Peru

Heidi is part of the Piura team, which is serving in the north of Peru and is working with the Peruvian MB Conference. There are over 12 established churches and young church plants in this region, many without formally trained pastors. The team is resourcing the MB Conference and church leaders in church growth, mission, and capacity building.

Country: Mexico

Jen is part of the Matthew Team that is serving in Guadalajara. Their vision is to prepare people for cross-cultural missions. The Matthew Team also coordinates short term teams and interns that participate with local churches in mission outreach. Jen also serves local church leaders by focusing on discipleship and training among the youth.

Schulz, Tyler & Cheryl

Dave and Louise are making disciples, developing strong leaders and planting new churches among Thai and Burmese Buddhists. Chachoengsao is one of the provinces in Thailand with the fewest followers of Jesus. They are praying for many people to turn to Jesus and more churches to be planted.

R & M S

Country: France

R and M are involved in evangelism, leadership development, media training, and church planting using media and the arts in France. They also have many opportunities to minister in other countries around the world.

Thiessen, Robert and Anne

Country: Mexico

Robert and Anne are part of a team focused on bringing the Kingdom of God to the Mixtecs. This team has a focus on comprehensive discipleship that is oriented towards growing healthy churches among the least reached and indigenous peoples of southern Mexico. They are preparing future missionaries through apprenticeships that apply theological and technical understanding to engagement in cross-cultural ministry.

Warkentin, Melvin and Gudrun

Country: Paraguay

Gudrun and Melvin are preparing future leaders in indigenous churches and communities. As a high school teacher, Gudrun encourages spiritual growth in the lives of her students, many who will one day step into positions of leadership. Melvin trains indigenous believers at the Indian Bible Institute for ministry in their home communities and beyond. Their goal is to bring growth and stability to the indigenous churches through leadership training and Bible teaching.

Warner, Blaine and Michelle

Country: Burkina Faso

Blaine and Michelle are working to reach the Nanerige people group by introducing them to God’s Word. Their desire is to encourage and lead people to know Jesus and God’s Word. Presently two churches have been planted. Their roles include teaching the Bible and literacy, coordinating short-term teams, and fulfilling the duties of administration for the team.

 

Zuluaga, Einer and Girlesa

Country: Panama

In partnership with the Colombian MB Conference, the Zuluagas are discipling and training leaders among the Embera and Wounaan people groups. New leaders are being trained to bring the message of the Gospel to other villages in Panama.

A and R

Country: Worldwide

A and R are serving on a church planting team in a restricted access country. This team envisions ancient ruins that were once the marks of a vibrant church in Central Asia being brought back to life through the power of the Holy Spirit. They desire to see transformed lives and disciples learning to walk in faith and maturity as people experience freedom from bondage. During their first term, they will be learning the language and culture of the nation where God has called them to serve.

B and M

Country: Germany

B and M are part of a church-planting team in Berlin. Their team is in the beginning stages of formation and envisioning a multicultural, disciple-making, church planting movement in the least-reached area of Neukölln. Their hope is to mobilize a new generation of disciples in Germany, in partnership with existing MB churches.

BB

Country: Worldwide

BB is part of a church planting team in a restricted access country. The vision of his team is to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ through planting churches and mobilizing long- and short-term workers. They are serving alongside the national church by providing support and resources as these churches are beginning to mobilize missionaries. BB is mentoring and training up young men and women to be lights in their communities.

C and F

Country: Worldwide

C and F are part of a church planting team that is serving among a people group from restricted access countries. Their team dreams of catalyzing spiritual growth, leadership development, and holistic church planting both in Europe and the Mediterranean. They are working with the growing population of North African immigrants in this region through church planting, discipleship, and providing literacy classes.
