Beltran, Alfredo and Sandra

Country: Mexico

Alfredo and Sandra are International Mission Associates in joint appointment with the Colombia MB Church Conference. Their ministry focuses on planting and growing healthy churches throughout Mexico.  Alfredo and Sandra are leading a team that has planted a church in the Campo Real community in Guadalajara. They are training and raising up national leaders and plan to plant more churches in Mexico.

Bergen, Phil and Carol

Country: Burkina Faso

The Nanerige are a Senoufo people group living in Western Burkina Faso. Phil and Carol are part of a team aimed at helping the Nanerige people understand the Bible and follow Jesus. This involves translating the Bible into Nanerige and also using Jula (the trade language of the region) to develop relationships and form communities of faith. The team is reaching out in holistic ways, sharing Bible knowledge, and helping with health concerns and literacy.

Block, Barbara

Country: India

Barbara Block teaches art and is the High School Coordinator for Grades 9-12 at Kodaikanal International School, a Christian multicultural school with up to 30 nationalities. She also serves as President of Bethania Association, which runs a children’s home that supports around 45 children.

Davis, Bob and Chris

Country: Thailand

Bob and Chris are part of a team that is serving among the Thai and Khmu peoples of Northern Thailand and Southeast Asia. They are involved in discipleship and leadership training at the Changed Life Center and Khmu Student Center, where future leaders are being trained and equipped to reach out to indigenous groups. They also help support the work of Khmu churches and new church plants, as well as community development projects to help the ministries become self sufficient.

Ekk, Otto and Marjorie

Country: Portugal

Otto and Marjorie have a passion for least-reached people in Europe. They provide leadership to a group of churches in the Greater Lisbon area. With only one percent Bible-believing people in Portugal and a growing secularized mindset, they challenge the five church communities to proclaim and live out the Good News of Jesus. Otto and Marjorie give vision, direction, encouragement, and training to the ministry team and church leadership in Portugal.

Ens, Lowell and Melissa

Country: Peru

Lowell works with leadership in Peruvian churches and the MB Conference and Melissa provides support in the areas of worship, women’s ministry, and discipleship.

Eros, Wendy

Country: Japan

Wendy is working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Japan. She serves at three locations (two churches and one school) in Nagoya through teaching English, friendship evangelism, and helping with various ministries and outreach programs.

Ervin, John and Geri

Country: Worldwide

John serves as Media Producer helping missionaries and North American staff communicate how God is transforming people worldwide. Telling God's stories using video, music and photography is what he has been called to in the world and in the Church. Most of the Shine On Video Stories were filmed by John during his visits to our church planting sites around the globe.

Esau, Jon and Bonnie

Country: Thailand

Jon and Bonnie are involved in language and culture acquisition during their first term in Thailand. They are serving with the Chonburi team as they begin planting new churches in northern Chonburi. They hope to see multiple churches birthed amongst a group of fishing communities in this region.

Fender, Sandy

Country: Thailand

Sandy is serving at the Bethel Church, House of Hope and Lighthouse Church in Chachoengsao. She teaches English and baking classes, hosts a cell group, and helps with ministry to youth and children. These ministries are being used to bring God's light and truth into the community!

Foster, Alan and Colleen

Country: Panama

Alan and Colleen work with Emberá and Wounaan communities in eastern Panama. These tribes have had limited access to the Gospel due to their remoteness as well as violence related to political factions and drug-trafficking. They also lack basic water and sanitation infrastructure and waterborne disease has escalated. Alan and Colleen provide technical and educational assistance to meet the needs of eight communities in clean water, sanitation, and health workshops. As they engage in meeting physical needs, Alan and Colleen have found many opportunities to minister to people’s spiritual needs.

Friesen, Cynthia

Country: Thailand

Cynthia is part of the Operation 2nd Wave (O2W) team that has started a church plant in Phuket City. They have a ministry centre to meet needs in their community and are also active in outreach and evangelism. They provide Bible study and discipleship training for those growing in their knowledge and love for the Lord. Their hope is to see not only a growing cell church, but a movement of cell churches in and around Phuket.

Ministry opportunities are endless in Phuket City. Doors are open to teaching English, working with university students, with prostitutes, and developing community programs that meet felt needs. Intercession and discipleship are frontline strategies. Cynthia’s passion is to see God's healing, freedom and glory flood the nation of Thailand.

Funk, Otto and Lidia

Country: Peru

Otto and Lidia are part of the Piura team, which is serving in the north of Peru and is working with the Peruvian MB Conference. There are over 12 established churches and young church plants in this region, many without formally trained pastors. The team is resourcing the MB Conference and church leaders in church growth, mission, and capacity building.

Funk, Richard and Hazel

Country: Austria

Richard and Hazel are serving as Member Care facilitators to missionaries in Europe and Central Asia. They provide care to missionaries and strengthen team life by promoting spiritual, relational, and emotional vitality. They are also involved in mentoring lay leaders, and teaching and preaching in Austrian and German churches.

Godard, Trever and Joan

Country: Mexico

Trever and Joan work with Mexican church leaders and young adults, focusing on discipleship and mission training. They give leadership to the Matthew Team, whose vision is to prepare people for cross-cultural mission. The Matthew Team also coordinates short term teams that participate with local churches in mission outreach.

Goertz, Doris

Country: Japan

Doris is serving in the Amagasaki MB Church where she uses her gifts in the areas of music, Bible studies, English classes, evangelism and discipleship. Through her interactions with people inside and outside the church, she wants to bring them into a new and deeper relationship with Christ.

Doris has spent over 10 years in Japan and has been amazed and humbled to realize that God can and wants to use her to share his love with Japanese people. Only about four out of a thousand people in Japan are members of a Protestant church. In this context, English classes are a great way to connect with people in the community who would not otherwise enter a church. Through the ministry of teaching English, Doris and her Japanese helpers have the opportunity to introduce people to Jesus, to pray for them and support them when they are going through difficulties, and to study the Bible with those who are interested.

Hiebert, Doug & Deanna

Country: Burundi and Eastern Congo

Doug and Deanna have a wealth of overseas experience. For five years, they were the Area Representatives for MCC in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. Deanna is a teacher and loves to work on projects that have an educational focus. Their home church is Cornerstone Community Church in Virgil, Ontario where Doug has been an associate pastor in charge of worship, life groups and missions. Deanna is involved in teaching children’s junior church. Together they lead a life group. They have three children, Madeline, Keza, and Avery.

Hiebert, Rebecca

Country: Thailand

Rebecca is attending language school during her first year in Thailand. She hopes to use English classes as a tool for church planting and is also excited about discipling and mentoring children and youth.

Kuhns, Stacy

Country: Peru

Stacy is part of the Piura team, which is serving in the north of Peru and is working with the Peruvian MB Conference. There are over 12 established churches and young church plants in this region, many without formally trained pastors. The team is resourcing the MB Conference and church leaders in church growth, mission, and capacity building. Stacy's passion is to train and equip leaders to show Christ’s love in tangible ways and to support local church leaders as they reach their communities with the Gospel.

Martens, Frank and Esther

Country: Worldwide

As part of the member care team, Frank and Esther extend a ministry of support and encouragement to our missionary families by way of: 1. Intercessory prayer focused on personal and ministry needs 2. Regular communication via e-mail 3. Connecting with missionaries on MINA 4. Visiting missionaries in their place of ministry 5. Support to MB Mission staff in missionary preparation and retreats

Matthies, Johann

Country: Germany

Johann is the European Mission Development Director. He mobilizes European partners, churches, and schools for world mission and resources our workers and projects on the field in Europe as well as Western and Central Asia.

Miller, K & K

Country: Germany

K & K are joining a church planting team in an unreached area of Berlin. Their vision is for Berliners to find the way, truth, and life in Jesus. Their hope is that a discipleship movement will take place as Jesus transforms individuals, families, and whole communities and disciples of Jesus walk with Gospel intentionality in this diverse city.

Nsulunka, Baudouin and Marie-Brigette

Country: South Africa

Baudouin and Marie-Brigette are missionaries from the MB conference in South Africa and are the pastor couple for the Durban MB Church. They are involved in teaching, training, and reaching out in the community. Their hope is to soon plant another MB church in South Africa.

Ouellette, Greg and Becky

Country: Thailand

Greg and Becky are excited about the small group of believers and seekers that they gather with each Saturday evening. They spend time each week with people at various stages of their journey towards God. With some, they spend time reading the Bible and praying. With others, they encourage them to attend their weekend service, to "taste and see that God is good". With still others, they have the opportunity to build relationship through teaching English, or spending time with them in some other way, always with the goal in mind of sharing their lives, and thus, the Gospel, with them.

Owen, Andy and Carmen

Country: Thailand

Andy and Carmen serve as resource missionaries for the growing Thailand MB conference. They are involved in training leaders and developing materials to equip believers in discipleship and evangelism. They also resource emerging and existing churches like the one they helped plant, The Life Center in Chonburi.

Penner, Liana

Country: Peru

Liana serves in the areas of Christian education, teaching ESL, and discipleship. She works and serves alongside believers in the MB Church in Trujillo.

Plett, Sandra

Country: Mexico

Sandra is part of the Matthew Team that is serving in Guadalajara. They provide specialized cross-cultural training and spiritual guidance to equip people to become effective long-term missionaries. They desire to see hundreds of trained and fruitful workers serving among the nations, making thousands of disciples in God's Kingdom for his glory. The Matthew Team also coordinates and plans short-term mission trips from North America to Latin America, and are involved in church planting, social ministries, and evangelism in Guadalajara.

Ramer, Jill

Country: Thailand

Jill is engaged in learning the language and culture during her first term in Thailand, with plans to join a church-planting team in the near future.

Ramos, Cecil and Tracy

Country: Thailand

Cecil and Tracy will be involved in learning the language and culture during their first term, helping their boys become more acclimated to the new environment, encouraging their teammates, and beginning to build relationships with the people of Thailand.

Reimer, Jason and Corina

Country: Thailand

Jason and Corina are working full-time as capacity builders at the Abundant Life Home (ALH) in Ang Sila, Chonburi. This is an orphanage for children with HIV/AIDS. Jason serves as the property manager, which includes maintenance of vehicles, homes and property, while Corina works in administration for ALH and the Thai MB Foundation. Jesse and Chase attend Thai school as they are still learning the language. During their first term as missionaries in Thailand, their family continues to learn Thai through tutoring and immersion.

Russell, Edd and Ingrid

Country: Thailand

Edd and Ingrid are serving with the churches in Chachoengsao. They are involved in children’s ministry, teaching baking and guitar classes, and supporting church leaders.

Sanchez, Ricky and Karen

Country: Thailand

Ricky is the Thailand Country Leader and Karen is the Founder and Director of the Abundant Life Home. The Abundant Life Home provides children who have been orphaned due to AIDS and are living with HIV with a loving home. Ricky and Karen are also involved in leadership development, missionary recruitment and church planting. Their vision is to see more Thai churches planted and more Thai people leading the churches.

Country: Peru

Heidi is part of the Piura team, which is serving in the north of Peru and is working with the Peruvian MB Conference. The team is resourcing the MB Conference and church leaders in church growth, mission, and capacity building.

Schulz, Tyler & Cheryl

Country: Burundi and Eastern Congo

Tyler and Cheryl are life-long residents of Chilliwack where they are involved in various ministries at Central Community Church. Cheryl has her Bachelor of Science in nursing and served on a mission team to Mexico with Tyler in 2012 where they completed maintenance projects and interacted with staff and children. Although Tyler has had a successful career as partner in his accounting firm, God clearly spoke to him concerning mission, saying, “I have more in store for you, much more.” Together they have a genuine desire to share the Gospel with the least reached. Their children are Natalie Mae, Jillian Faith and Lauren Elizabeth.

Sinclair-Peters, Dave and Louise

Country: Thailand

Dave and Louise are committed to evangelism and church planting in Thailand and have a passion to raise up Thai people who will lead the Church. They are mentoring and training pastors and cell church leaders. Dave and Louise are involved in: Bethel Church, House of Hope, Lighthouse, House of Grace, and other cell churches. The Holy Spirit is birthing churches among urban and rural people! They are expanding their cell groups into villages, factories, and the cities of Bangkok and Chachoengsao.

R & M S are involved in church planting and media ministry in France and other countries using the Creative Arts as tools for teaching, worship and evangelism.

Thiessen, Robert and Anne

Country: Mexico

Robert and Anne are focused on bringing the Kingdom of God to the Mixtecs of southern Mexico through evangelism, Bible translation, leadership discipling and bi-vocational development.

Warkentin, Melvin and Gudrun

Country: Paraguay

Gudrun and Melvin are preparing future leaders in indigenous churches and communities. As a high school teacher, Gudrun encourages spiritual growth in the lives of her students, many who will one day step into positions of leadership. Melvin trains indigenous believers at the Indian Bible Institute for ministry in their home communities and beyond. Their goal is to bring growth and stability to the indigenous churches through leadership training and Bible teaching.

Warner, Blaine and Michelle

Their desire is to encourage and lead people to know Jesus and God’s Word. Presently two churches have been planted. Blaine and Michelle’s roles include teaching God’s Word and literacy, coordinating short-term teams, and fulfilling the duties of administration for the team.

Wiens, John and Evelyn

Country: Ukraine

John has recently passed away but his ministry in the Ukraine lives on.

John & Evelyn were involved in church planting, leadership training, and ministering to orphans. They have planted New Hope Church in the center of the city of Zaporozhye. They have also begun a ministry to ‘graduated orphans’, to teach them both how to live and make a living.

Vic serves with MB Mission as Coordinator of Mission Capacity Building, helping our sister conferences in vision-casting, training and development of missionary sending capacities of their own in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Zuluaga, Einer and Girlesa

Country: Panama

In partnership with the Colombian MB Conference, the Zuluagas are discipling and training leaders among the Embera and Wounaan people groups. New leaders are being trained to bring the message of the Gospel to other villages in Panama.
