Location: Western Canada
Position: Prayer Mobilizer
Project #: C0743
In her role as a writer with the Media Team, Nikki focuses on telling stories in such a way as to mobilize prayer for global outreach.
According to Nikki, “God’s Big Story is being told everywhere, always. His over-arching narrative of redemption gives meaning and beauty to the seemingly random chapters into which we sometimes find ourselves written. For me, it would be unthinkable that this beauty and meaning not find expression in the written word. As I help our global workers to tell their own stories, my goal is that all would glimpse the divine narrative, reflected in both ordinary and extraordinary events, and be impelled to praise, prayer, and - of course - more irrepressible story-telling!”
After completing undergraduate studies in Fine Arts in Colima, Mexico, Nikki returned to Canada with a passion to facilitate authentic and life-changing encounters with Jesus Christ through music and the arts. Nikki spent twelve years serving in worship and prayer ministries with the Surrey Vineyard, and then returned to school to complete graduate studies at MBBS, with a concentration in Cross-Cultural Ministries. Nikki and her husband Scott and their children have attended North Langley Community Church since 2001, where she oversees curriculum development and training for NLCC prayer ministry teams, as well as teaching prayer seminars at various other churches. Recently her story has come full circle. Having reconnected with her roots in Mexico, she now leads a church partnership initiative between NLCC and the Pan de Vida (MB) church plant in Colima.
