His name is Oak, like the tree.
He’s six years old and lives in a slum in Thailand.
Both his parents are alive, as far as we know,
But they live in prison, so he never sees them.
Practically, Oak is an orphan.
Daily Prayer Guide
“As I think about “light” and our work in Peru, my heart rests in Psalm 27,
a passage that I have come back to many times during the challenges of
this past year. Clinging to Jesus, the True Light, leaves no place for fear or darkness. He has surrounded me with light, even when everything around me seemed dark. I want to tell people about the True Light that gives us courage to continue on. Praise God for all the baptisms in the Miraflores church. Pray for wisdom for the leaders who are discipling these young believers. Praise God that our teammate, Stacy Kuhns, has returned to Peru. Pray for unity and revival at the first-ever MB youth conference in Peru on January 9-11. Praise God for the ACTION team that is coming to help lead worship for this event.”
The LORD is my light and my salvation, so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. Psalm 27:1, 5.
