Project #: C0448

Needed: $260,000 (USD)

Latinos and North Americans are being prepared for cross-cultural service at this Guadalajara-based training center. Training programs have been held in the Godards’ home since 2008. But as the number of interns and teams grows, there is a need for larger facilities with space for various kinds of instruction and team-building activities.

HADIME is a Short Term Ministry program in Guadalajara, Mexico. The training for this program also takes places through the Matthew Training Center. After training, participants and leaders go on a short cross-cultural mission trip within Mexico.

The long term vision of the Matthew Training Center is to mobilize, train, and send people to the nations to extend God’s Kingdom and to plant churches. They desire to see hundreds of trained and fruitful missionaries serving among the nations and making many disciples.

The team has already raised $186,000 towards purchasing a training and retreat center on the outskirts of the city where young leaders can test their call to missions. The remaining funding needed for the center is $260,000

Additional funds needed:

  • $7,200 to equip the training center
  • $3,960 to provide scholarships for Latinos in training in 2011/12
