Ying's Story

“The LORD your God is with you,He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you,He will quiet you with his love,He will rejoice over you with singing.”  Zephaniah 3:17

When Ying Limngen found out that her TREK assignment was in Mexico, she did not want to go. Ying had traveled all the way from Thailand to Abbotsford, British Columbia to participate in TREK, and in the months leading up to her departure, she felt the Lord putting Panama on her heart. You can imagine her shock when she found out that she would be going to Mexico. Not only that, but she was also assigned to be Team Leader. Michelle's Story

"I will lead the blind in ways they have not known,Along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;I will turn the darkness into light before them; And make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do;I will not forsake them."  Isaiah 42:16

Kidron's Story

"This is what the LORD says:'Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me,      that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight.' declares the LORD." Jeremiah 9: 23-24

After a few months serving in Berlin with TREK, Kidron found herself on a low. She was tired, discouraged, and often sick. Before long she was asking God, “Why am I here?” Kidron says that the emotions she felt were a mixture of faith and doubt. Faith, because she knew that God had called her into a short term missions experience, but doubt, because she wanted proof. She was eager to see the fruit of what God was accomplishing through her.
