Burathat was burnt out. He was serving as a pastor but felt aimless, tired, and busy. So he decided to leave his work as a pastor and became a professional musician instead at a local restaurant.

During this time, Burathat searched for God and asked Him why He hadn’t provided a church that was the right fit for him to serve in. Then one day Barathat met the missionaries of Team 2000 and was invited to join them in ministry at The Life Centre.

Soon after Burathat had started ministering part-time at The Life Centre, he took part in a prayer weekend. It was during this weekend that God clearly called him back into ministry through a vision.

Burathat saw a large door that was barely ajar. On the other side of the door, there was a bright light. When he saw the light, he felt great joy, hope and life. He asked God, “Why isn’t the door wide open?”

Burathat wanted to open the door by himself, but God wouldn’t allow him to do this. God told him, “It isn’t time yet. This door can’t be open by just one person. You must find others to help you open it.”

Although he was confused by the vision at first, Burathat began to understand that serving God was not about doing it all on his own. He started to realize that he had failed in ministry before because of his belief that he was the expert and that he could rely on his own strength and knowledge.

Now Burathat knows that serving God is not a one-man show. The door is beginning to open and God’s light is shining through! He has great hope for The Life Centre and believes that the church is going to continue shining brightly for all to see.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24-25
