In Northern Thailand, there is a Buddhist temple on every corner and people pray to gods of wood and stone. There is deep spiritual bondage. People are hungry for freedom.
A new MB Mission team is being formed for North Thailand and will include newly mobilized workers Phone Keo and Chansone as well as Edd and Ingrid Russell. Thailand is a country where 95% of people are Buddhist and most others are Animist or Muslim. If you travel along the Mekong River, you will not find Thai churches or believers in Christ. The name of Jesus is simply not known here.
The tribal people of the north are treated like second class citizens. Please pray that they will find unconditional love and worth in Christ. Pray for this team of missionaries and support their work as they take risks and ‘go north.’
