“I never planned to come to Japan… I really didn’t know very much about the country,” explains Doris. “But I really felt that the Lord was calling me to go… and if I said ‘no,’ I would be disobeying His call... The important thing was to say ‘yes’ – it didn’t matter where.”

Since surrendering to God’s call on her life, Doris Goertz has served with MB Mission in Japan for 12 years! Sharing her gifts of teaching and music, she has become friends with many women in the community and sees God working in small ways in their lives: “God can use me the way I am… to be His messenger.”
